Hi! I’m Chelsea

I am a NYC-based Yoga, Meditation, & Mindfulness Teacher.

I am passionate about weaving practical mindfulness & spirituality into daily life.

Adventure, Nature & Community

Originally from Westchester, NY, I spent the last decade moving back and forth between Central America and New York City. I grew up in a household of women and spent a lot of time exploring the outdoors as a kid with my sisters. Although I am deeply connected to my family & community in the NYC area, I am inherently curious about life and the world and have always loved traveling, adventure, and spending time in nature.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies (with a Minor in Art) from Elon University. I’ve lived in Guatemala & Panama and spent extended time in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Spain.

Yoga & Meditation

I found my way to yoga and meditation 13 years ago when my roommate from college brought me to a vinyasa yoga class for the first time. I had never moved mindfully or meditated before in my life and fell in love. I dove headfirst into practicing and learning as much as I could.

In my early 20s, I came to rely on yoga as a lifestyle when I experienced many mental health issues (including PTSD, panic attacks, anxiety & depression) and deepened my practice to include more than just poses, meditation, and pranayama. The past decade I’ve slowly learned to weave yoga philosophy, mindfulness, and spirituality into the way I live my life each day. I love to share this through my writing, in my classes, and with anyone interested.

I have been teaching yoga & meditation for 5+ years and have 600+ Hours of Certifications such as Meditation, Mindfulness, and various styles of Yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle, Restorative, Yin, and more. I have experience teaching both group and private yoga and meditation classes to people with all experiences of yoga.

Yoga is far more than just movement and I am committed to sharing its benefits with others. My goal as a yoga teacher is to create a safe and supportive environment where students with all backgrounds, bodies, and experiences can explore their practice and apply what they learn to live more mindful and fulfilling lives, off the mat.
